Amelie got the World Cup title

With a spectacular season finish, Amelie KOBER won the first ever Parallel World Cup title for Germany.

After a changeful season, at the world cup final in Valmalenco (Italy), Amelie celebrated her fourth win in a row in a PGS-Race. So she passed the Austrian Doris Günther on the home stretch to win the Parallel World Cup title. Affected by illness and injuries, Amelie started the season quite modestly. But with 5 wins in the last six races and with a second place at her home World Cup in Sudelfeld, she came back to show her exceptional talent. “After having a hard time last summer, I wouldn’t have thought, that it went that well and that I would really manage to win the Cup. It’s unbelievable, I’m just happy and overwhelmed!”, Amelie was delighted.

With that success, Amelie has been the first German female snowboarder to achieve the World Cup title since eight years.
