Biathlon World Championships: Gold and bronze medal for Andi Birnbacher

Andi Birnbacher became World Champion with the Mixed-Team and won the bronze medal in men`s Relay in Östersund, Sweden.

In the Mixed Competition, Sabrina Buchholz, Magdalena Neuner, Andi Birnbacher and Michael Greis showed a strong performance over 2 x 6 km and 2 x 7,5 km, clearly defeating the teams of Belarus and Russia.

The men`s Relay with Michael Rösch, Alexander Wolf, Andi Birnbacher and Michael Greis took third place after Russia and Norway.

Tonight, Andi will tell more about his victory being guest at “Blickpunkt Sport” live on Bavarian TV at 21:45 h.
